This session equips special education educators with the essential skills to write effective Present Levels of Academic Achievement and Functional Performance (PLAAFP) by integrating both qualitative and quantitative data from various sources. Participants will learn to identify areas for growth and convert them into clear, measurable IEP goals. Key objectives include assessing student strengths and needs, utilizing data to inform goal writing, and applying best practices for developing SMART goals that align with individualized learning profiles. Attendees are encouraged to bring a current IEP, relevant performance data, and a fully charged device to facilitate an engaging discussion on the writing process.
