Taking notes is an essential skill for college and career readiness, and it's never too early to start learning note-taking skills. In this interactive session, participants will learn the five steps of AVID's Focused Note-Taking Process and explore ways to imbed the process in classroom instruction to put students in charge of their learning, to develop thinking skills, and to increase student engagement. Whether you teach elementary or secondary, you'll leave with ideas for incorporating Focused Note-Taking in your classroom on Monday.
